There is a straight 500/1750 flash from the other side of the pond that works very nice. Put in more than one and when done will give a 550 a run for it. At around 6 to 6.5 mpg.

between 60 and 65 mph (depending on what road I'm on). 3.73 rear end. single axle drive with tag axle. factory day cab pulling 28' end dump trailer doing local gravel hauling. 80,000 lbs + one way and 29,500 on the way back. I can get 6.5 mpg if its warm out and not windy. If its cold and windy it is more like 5.5 mpg. Oh yeah, Pete 379 short hood with 9 speed tranny.

I've got a 05 T600. 10 spd and 3.36 rears. Around 7 ish with summer fuel. I pull a tank and gross out around 78500 or so. Empty I'm (depending on the trailer) around 31000 to 33000. Not sure if I can say the 2 things I did. But boy, I'm not exhausted like I used to be ;)

I had one in my old 2005 International Paystar 5600i dump truck. I loved that engine. My allowable gross was 80,000 pounds, and the truck had 22.5 rubber, 18 speed and 4.30 rears. It constantly got 5.3 mpg and pulled very well. Zero breakdowns or issues. It was the 470/1650 version.

Had two buddies with Paystar's also, all geared the same. One an ISX 565 the other an ISX 530. All loaded at 80,000 gross on an 8% grade the 530 could not pass me, the 565 did but I was glued to his tailgate. I was impressed.
And that was before I got Cat's 525 field uprate and a heavier spring in the fuel pressure return.

Wish I still had that one. Now I live in the world of Western Star poor build quality and winter time DD15 urea system failures, lol.
