When a driver is OTR companies prefer they stay out for 3 or more weeks otherwise go regional or dedicated.

When I was OTR, my girlfriend and I never argued, we never got mad at each other, and we were always happy to see each other.

Now that I'm local, some of that has changed haha. I still love her, but I may end up doing long haul for the company I'm with now

This sounds like an excuse to just see your soon to be ex wife and try to talk her out of it. You could just do an e-signature online and never even go home to make it final.

    DrtyDiesel Thanks this.

Just an update about that negative husband I am trying to get away from: When I told him that I will be going to a cdl company training class to be a truck driver, he told me that I won't be able to learn to drive and he said he had a $100 bet that I would fail. I shook his hand and will be winning that Benjamin

The hardest part is shifting. You get that down and the rest is gravy. I'd say that money is yours.

Driving the trick is the easiest part, doing it with some sense and being safe... total different beast

I know there are more gears but is it anything like shifting a standard shift car?
