Hello truckers, I have a major question.
I'm a Swift driver and I have three preventable accidents. One wasn't my fault the second one was my side fairings came off my truck the third was a guy was on my blindside and knocked the mirror lens off. I wanted to go to another company cause the company won't allow me to much of anything.I can't enjoy my career without any problems is there any suggestions for a rookie driver that have almost a year experience?? Thank you for your help

Did Swift fire you?
Put your location on your profile.
Are you looking for a new job?
Always refer to what happened as "incidents", not "accidents." Take the word "accident" out of your vocabulary.gpsman, slim shady and grandpa1990 Thank this. -
Keep on driving and stop getting into accidents. You should stick it out for the full year before looking at other companies since if all 3 accidents are on your record in less than a year then not many companies are going to hire you. Well not ones that are better than Swift.

Don't listen to the endless lists of horrible companies you're gonna get. Stop hitting stuff. Stay at Swift.

Unfortunately your in the 'learning and practice' stage.
My advice is to be more attentive, slow it down if you have to, try to be more in control and find your comfort level where you can build your confidence up.
Wait till you get at least a year under your seat before you move on. Like it or not,.. this is trucking. You will have good days and you will have bad days. Try not to focus on the bad ones and you'll find it gets easier as you go along.

Lets keep it cordial.
Not everyone gets behind the wheel and has a perfect rookie year.
Learn to be more understanding and professional.
