    Haven't heard of any restrictions regarding this. Probably like a laptop, you just need to have it out of the bag and on the belt for scanning.

    I really want to say something witty here. But I won't. Yes. You can take a cb with you on the plane.


    Just don't take matches or a bottle of water. You can also bring a lighter.

    I see no problem. I carried a Garmin 295 GPS and AV8ER GPS from South Korea to the US and no problem going through Customs and security.

    Is the question maybe that security might want the OP to power the cb inorder to prove that It might not be a bomb?

    If it's in carry on they might ask you to take it out and show it to them. I always put mine in the cargo hold bags though. GPS unit I took with me on the carry on and they never even batted an eyelash at it.
