Guess cheap haulers need all the drivers they can get lol. They and a bunch others love to torture there drivers with 8ft tarp freight and u tarp every load. Bs i hate big companies my driver makes on average .55mi and no tarp runs are pretty decently long average 500 miles a day 5,6days a wk.

Dragging up old threads to take a shot at Maverick? Nice. I averaged 54 cents per mile when I was at Maverick hauling glass. 95% preloaded and pretarped(if it wasn't on a Conestoga) trailers. They do haul alot of freight that requires 8' drops tarps. Thats part of flatbedding. They mostly haul steel bar and coils. Easy loads to me.

Straight up company driver mentality. Ur supporting a cheap carrier which holds us all back

I don't know what Mavericks rates are, don't care either. But that's not the point, why would a company driver care what the rates are when they are getting paid by the mile. As long as the carrier is making money, and the driver is getting paid really is the drivers only concern.BigJls1 Thanks this.

hes making .54 a mile. I think that's attractive if hes doing better than 600 miles a day.

Opportunity my friend, opportunity. You are correct if everyone is happy then it shouldn't matter, but if he is thinking of going the O/O? I think then knowing what they get is a good thing.

Cowboy13,
There was a guy in my Maverick Orientation that was a former "W" driver. He looked happier than a tornado in a trailer park after the first week of orientation. If you want to see what orientation is like I posted the link below to some videos covering my experience there.
