Are we meant to check fluid on reefer units? I am not even joking. If the little button thingys make it go on and off, change the set point and go to cycle setting, I roll and don't look back.

I'm glad you made it home, Pete. Did ya get to see your new truck? The King made it out of there about 2:30 yesterday .....it was a $34 part, cost $100 to put it in. I wouldn't have believed a sensor was that cheap. Of course, they had taken it out twice before and cleaned it.....$100 labor x3 and all to replace a $34 part :biggrin_25513:.

I don't get into the mechanical issues on the trucks and trailers too much other than to try to post reliable info when I have it for you. All I can tell you is that the King took care of the reefer, and still does when he pulls one, in the same way that he takes care of the truck. You know the old saying "A stitch in time saves nine." It's all about maximizing your time and money.

I would have ran that trailer, no problem. I only change or check fluid when there is a code to do so. I tried to add anti-freeze in once and the top door wouldn't open but that is the only time I didn't, dropped it and then messaged them about the problem.

    passport you are no rookie

ghost I do not plan on bringing any cold weather with me down to Fl. but some years I am just bad luck with weather. In 08 every time I went home it would snow. I was greeted with mixed signals that year when I got home, I am sure my wife was happy but not about the weather. It doesn't snow often where we live in Nc.
