Same as Don't Trust Anyone. Good philosophies to have. A lot of these guys don't care or don't pay enough attention to what they're doing. I saw a lot of that today. Run 717 miles today, and every mile there was another idiot in a truck or a car that could've caused a major wreck because they just don't care. And in the truck stops today, a lot of these guys act like it's every man for himself and will run you over out of spite.

It's funny how it takes the brass to make the call of it being a negligent discharge, ive been using that term for years

I was there that night and the man that was struck walked behind our semi as we were pulling up to fuel. That entrance where he got struck was so congested that there was no way anyone could have turned in that fast. So the speed is 100% is
exaggerated. It was very dark right there as well. I believe this was just a tragic accident. A very sad accident. I believe the driver was pulling in, making sure his trailer cleared other trucks and didn't see the man. It seems like nobody believes in accidents anymore.

So how do you know if he was on elogs?
I have seen MANY Owner operators, SPEED in parking lots, posted construction zones, like they in a nasty car race.
Then will people tell him on the radio to slow down, they get told to ###### OFF.

And from reading the story, it did not name the trucking company.

See this all the time. I had a co driver that did this and he'd go through the fuel isle like that. Frankly I'm surprised I didn't lose my voice. Tried to kick him off the truck but he just wouldn't leave...probably shoulda been more assertive but meh, wasn't in my heart to strand him.
