First off drivers are always guilty till proven innocent so yes in their eyes you're a lier but they won't come right out and tell you that.Companies believe other companies over drivers. What do you mean its missing there? If whats missing?

Then the prospective employer phones/e-mails/fax/mails a past employment verification.

Just because something isn't on your DAC doesn't mean it doesn't exist. DAC is not used by all companies. It's not mandatory to report anything to HireRight. It is a paid service.

The number of drivers who don't understand what DAC is is mind boggling. The number of drivers who are intimidated by DAC is even more mind boggling. I do get a good laugh though every time someone brings up the big bad scary monster under the bed know as DAC.

Whatever a company would put on DAC they would put on any past employment verification. Or more as you can free-form on a verification form but DAC is only point and click.

Not necessarily true. Many companies don't use DAC or any other past employment service. They simply provide past employment info upon request

I've had many past employment verifications where the employer added to what we ask. The point is whether they enter termination reports to DAC or just answer a verification they would answer the same way.

That's what I thought you meant. They won't call you a lier if its not on your dac. They would raise a few eyebrows thought if you didn't put that place on your application, they'll think you're hiding something. Some companies may not use DAC but that doesn't mean they wont use it on certain drivers.A small company I drove for didn't use Dac till they fired me and I guess they put a lot of untruths on my DAC which my lawyers told me and they cleaned it up.

with werner the fleet managers/dispatchers can no longer make entries on your DAC. the practice was discontinued because too many were being malicious towards drivers.

Now only the Safety Dept can put things on your DAC. (that came directly from a member of Safety).

if you are always late on loads...they dont report it to your DAC they just fire you.
