    So you've worked for every company that pays percentage and knows that all of them screw drivers over because they have multiple "books" and don't show them what the load actually pays. Got it.

    I'm with tall mike, what you were seeing was not likely the whole picture. Take Fuel Surcharge for example, it's likely the rates get fudged a little here and there with this, as typically this doesn't factor into your percent of load. For the record I currently work for percent too, and this is where the gotcha, is in the game. This actually drove some of our drivers so nuts that they either quit or bought their own trucks and leased on elsewhere... Meaning they were able to figure out the fudge factor by using multiple known loads and calculating a ratio for comparison.... or the average unknowns. These figures were then cross referenced with known rates, which were checked by talking to other company drivers from competing companies(we ALL talk and know each other).
