Don't use the splitter and it will drive just like a 9 speed. That will get you through the road test ... and I doubt the road test will be running you through anything where you might use the splitter anyway.

    freightwipper Thanks this.

yeah I've been running 10 speed freightshakers since I've been driving. That is as easy as shifting gears on a bicycle for me now. There's always more to learn...

You'll be fine then ... just don't use the splitter during your test.

I'm sold. I just have one more decision to make and it is eating me up. Mileage or percentage? I have a diverse background and technology is my friend so managing loads and scheduling would work to my advantage, I think. Is the percentage fair?

Thanks for the thread and the well presented info.

Freightwhipper...you do it in your truck. I wouldn't worry about grinding gears. I'm use to an 18 speed. I grinded gears almost the whole time. The instructor told me he wasn't worried about that. Just that you know how to drive safely. I was told to make a button hook right turn, I got points docked for that because I haven't heard that terminology. All it means is swing out wide.
