Trans Am Still

Guess the delay will schedule a little to tight for their comfort. I would be an hour early if I keep this load but they want me to swap. In Oakley, Ks. 250 miles to go. Can definitely make this for OTD. I am guessing by the 22 messages the other driver doesn't want to do it.

Swaps, the bane of a drivers existence. Been thinking about that lately. One of the best weeks I ever had at TA, was doing nothing but swaps. I 80 between IN and PA. Got 3300 miles that week and never made a p/u or delivery. To bad that most of the rest of them sucked. lol

 

Been reading the last few pages and the discussion about leasing and recruiting etc. I was at an industry conference earlier this year and a panel of consultants and economists lectured industry bigwigs about the foolishness of paying recruiting bonus's and told them to pay the people they have better. I see some companies have increased they pay rates, but it doesn't seem to be nearly as much as they were advised. The panel recommended at least a 40% increase! Sad fact is that wouldn't have any impact on the cost of most goods hauled by trucks and it still won't get done.

Swap canceled so I will make the deliveries. I told them I can do it. Only get 3150 for the week. Broke the 3200 streak. I probably won't get 3000 next week but that's OK could use a little slow down. We will see.

These companies are cheap. They would steal food from a starving baby, right out of the mouth if it meant more money.

curious about your experience so far, Im Currently in school to get my CDL have 8more weeks to go an got a Pre-Hire letter from Trans Am last month so thats where Im headed after I graduate in Jan Ill be going to olathe but i hear they are similar, What Forms Of ID did u need? did u need high school diploma? or just trucking school diploma? birth certificae? or just Social an Drivers liscense an medial card?

 

Noah just bring yo CDL, social, and medical card. I like it so far

 

Headed to Washington Courthouse Ohio with this Tyson load. Left Russellville Arkansas at 0830 got ro Rogers about 1030 and gone by 1110. Stopped at Loves in Greenville Illinois for the night. Good day today 532 miles. Another 300 or so and I will be a day early. Hope to get a swap. Did get a preplan for Campbell Soup in Napoleon Ohio after I drop Walmart if I don't get swapped. Load finals in Cherokee IA Monday.

 

Napoleon, Oh, smallest town with 3 truck stops that I know of lol.
