It just takes practice jdmredneck .....you'll get it. I hope you feel better and that the toothache clears up.
jdmredneck33, gntorres61 and dennisroc Thank this. -
Redneck for most it takes time to get backing down. Then one day it will just click. Just be patient. G.O.A.L. very important and just try to remember how the trailer reacts to the wheel and where your pivot points are
dennisroc, passport220, HometimeQueen and 1 other person Thank this. -
I see you down there Oh Cranky One ......was getting worried about you. How was the weather today?
-
no one would have liked holding the steering wheel with me today
HTQ had the right info on the weather across WY
bright sunny 40 degrees in Cheyenne at 8 am
going into Laramie skies darkened temperature dropped wind started pushing the truck around
the signs were up for high winds 40-50 with gusts to 70
was suppose to start snowing by 2 pm over Evanston Wy
hard to hook it up and get ahead of the weather to get to Salt Lake City fighting all that wind
next is Elk Mountain 3 big trucks blown over speeds reduced
by the time I got to Rock Springs started to rain temp done to 34 big snowflakes mixed in
kept pushing on before the roads got bad Wy likes to close 80 before the wrecks
rain stopped after a while sun peaked thru back up to 37 wind died down to a manageable 25 mph
then the next band started as i arrived in UT so down the mountain we flew
looking for the valley and warmer temps
41 degrees in SLC rain came and went and came again
but i wont get caught in a highway shut down
an eventful 762 mile day.......heading over Donner Pass tomorrow
lets see what is in storewulfman75, dennisroc, gntorres61 and 2 others Thank this. -
one of our other drivers loaded thursday night like me a few miles from me
i called him this morning warning him of the bad weather and to see where he was
the lazy piece of crap was 500 miles behind me
wasn't worried about the weather.....just about lunch
i said if your still in IA you might wanna go south if they close 80 tonight
he wasnt concerned with that either
glad i ain't his bossHometimeQueen, wulfman75 and dennisroc Thank this. -
I told the King awhile ago that I was worried because you hadn't been back online yet .....he said that you probably had your hands full and would push on through while you could. I'm glad you're ok, Pete.
-
ty.......I like screwing off when I can but today wasn't the day for it
they get that snow up in Evanston and close 80 coulda got stuck until Monday
besides i didnt want to be testing out my brand new truck very first trip in the white stuffHometimeQueen Thanks this. -
This may sound funny, but I always thought blindside parallel parking was easier.dennisroc and jdmredneck33 Thank this.
