Trans Am Still

Tomorrow is the dreaded day for my youngest daughter....tonsillectomy. I am in VA. We have to be at the hospital at 5:30 a.m. and surgery is at 7:30 a.m. She ate her final meal at IHOP with me, one of her favorite restaurants. No food now until post surgery and probably a while after. Even though it's been many years since I had mine out, I remember how sore my throat was. I was 7 years old. She is 20. I don't envy her but sure hope she recovers quickly.

Hope the surgery goes well and she has a speedy and healthy recovery.

 

In a pickle park near Menomonie Wisconsin. Got stuck in a 10 mile backup at mm 88 so it torpedoed my hopes of making Hudson to the J or TA. I got food, and the shower can wait. Thanks Baby Wipes. Most importantly, I got a parking spot close to the facilities as a 0230 bathroom jaunt came calling.

 

Waiting to get door the was told might be a little bit cause they are running behind. 19 degrees here. Next load Storm Lake, Ia. To Sherman, Tx. Then to Rockwall to pick up Jay. He is my next victem.

 

I think I asked this before but don't see anything here. Does TA do a separate Physical when you go there ?

I was thinking they want you to have a DOT medical and CDL when they hire you.

Appreciate any info.

Hope everyone makes it home for Thanksgiving ! The army decided to fly that night so I will be working. Double time and a half , I can handle that , lol

We will do our Thanksgiving on Saturday with turkey , home made noodles , mashed potato's , dinner rolls , vegetables and Key Lime pie. And probably a few cold beers if I have room , haha
Sunday & Monday much of the same !

Don't think she will have to worry about that any time in the near future. If I remember correctly the Queen wrote something awhile ago saying that one of the 2 said she would always be at home.

 

So if TA hires you all you need to do is pass a drug test ?

The reason I ask is I am Diabetic and if I pass my DOT physical and get my CDL I don't want to get somewhere that has their own physical test that maybe my heart rate spikes and they wont hire me.
I take pills for my Diabetes but I have also been taking insulin shots for quite a while by choice not doctor ordered and can stop taking insulin at anytime and take more pills if needed.
I have been trying different things and will go off insulin way before I get my medical.

I will be 61 in a couple weeks but most people say I just look 60 & 1/2 I feel healthy enough to drive a truck but don't know how hard or what all the DOT physical requires.
