I would also suggest that you pick a company based on the quality of their training program instead of how quickly they will let you two run together. A company like Erb that is quite safety conscious will likely have a longer training program than most. Chances are there are companies that will put you two in a truck bound for California to pick up a load of produce right after you get out of school. In the long run the few extra weeks you spend with a trainer will benefit you greatly and will go by quicker than you think.

 

You might check with Covenant. Their US-side is team oriented and I know they employ some drivers out of Hamilton? Ontario

 

Been there a while and never seen them try to run anybody off. We don't have the numbers you guys do either. Plenty of regulars here that are ***holes.
