I personally wouldn't run anywhere with any alcohol in the truck or trailer, should you ever get in a accident there will be a prosecuter that will say there was alcohol on the vehicle contents unknow, that comment will put you in a dark area
My crew wants to drink after work

people just have to have their booze.........
-
Why all the judgements?? If they stopped on the way back to the hotel and bought a case of whiskey and 4 30 packs, maybe.
But a 6 pack after a day of work is no big deal.already gone, urnotreal, Dumdriver and 2 others Thank this. -
make up a bill of lading for the booze, put it in the trailer
-
I wouldn't worry about it. What they don't see won't hurt them, it's not like you guys are drinking and driving.
Skate-Board Thanks this. -
I don't buy the "in the seat on duty" thing where's the line on that?
Couldn't agree with you more Stabob however I had one of the better trucking jobs to be had. Not worth the risk...point being: bear can site you for anything he wants.......including sitting in the drivers seat on line one or two.

you and your guys just worked all day, whos f'n business is it if you want to slam some beers at the hotel after you WORKED all day. its not like we live in a society where you have to ask permission before you do something. just dont drive hundreds of miles with beer in your truck, and you will be fine....
gotta love the tetotalling do gooders out there that want to dictate your day, even after you punch out.... -
Most hotels have a convenience store or bar within walking distance.
-
Ha-ha..... I had one car carrier 2 years ago, when I was hauling cars, I can put my beer in the trunk of the any car and no body seems to care about. Even if they do inspection, that is a customer property I don't care about.....
tucker Thanks this. -
Are you guys movers? We have a household division. People move, they take their booze with them. Even though we have a zero tolerance booze policy and we don't have alcohol permits. There is some sort of minimum volume cut off for alcohol (similar to not needing a hazmat if your hauling 40k of beauty products and there's 12 cases of aerosol hairspray buried in the pallets somewhere.)
I've taken my crew out to dinner after a long day packing & shipping and bought them a round or two at the bar as long as I don't drink it's fine. If they want an after-party at the hotel it's their business, I'm not their dad. It's not hard to find a convenience store a short hike from the no-tell motel.
