Dropped my load at DG in Ardmore OK at 11 am this morning. Thought it was due at 11pm tonight, butLydia, at the guardshack said the load was due two days ago. I just laughed and said, "thats TransAm for ya." I apologized on behalf of the company and said that we must not have staffed enough over the holiday. Anyway, in and out in 40 minutes with a new trailer and headed to the J nearby to take my 10. Got my home load headed to Holcomb KS IBP shortly to pick it up IF ITS READY. Going to Columbia SC for a Friday 0530 delivery and then headed to the house. Any snafus or holdups and likely going to be swapped out. Here we go again. Gotta love it. Din Din time at the Huddle House. Deuces.

I've picked up at that place in Clarion. Really nice people.

I'm on my way to Olathe for a new inverter. Deliver in Omaha tomorrow.

I've been rereading the TransAm threads looking for some information about my questions (page 440, post 4392) and have confirmed that it's tough to get past the bad experiences, naysayers, and just plain ol' lease haters to get information. However, I am persistent, so let me ask some additional questions (my other questions are still open to answers):

    1. Has anyone here leased from TransAm for more than a year who is not a trainer or team? If so,
    2. Beyond the normal trucking business-related requirements (control speed, buy fuel the right way, keep the left door closed and right foot light on the pedal, etc.), what pointers do you have for your success with TransAm?
    3. Once on the road, is the company "supportive?" What does that mean to you and how does it show up?
    4. Since there are no 'extras' like detention pay, what, if any, arrangements are made in case of unexpected, extra-long live loads?

    i answered your questions directly
    leased for 18 months
stayed out over 100 days for $10000
transam treats EVERYONE like they have driven for a week
suck it up is the only arrangement

there is no success for anyone with experience at Trans Am
people get experience and move on
or they have problems with their CSA and rebuild it
    THAT IS IT

Thanks for your answers, CY. I hope to get other viewpoints from current drivers since I'm very familiar with yours. 😬

Here is an answer about support. I am in Speedco for about 3 hours cause Trans Am was at lunch. Why have coverage at all times? When I try to reach my dispatcher I have waited on hold for over an hour, this happens about 70% of the time. The only people in the office that you can get a hold of is the Risk department other than that it will be voicemail or hold for a long time. If a mechanic screws up your apu they say they will get your money back but a year and still counting. If you have a choice of other companies I would recommend you choose the other company and lease with them. I do not train regularly, jay is my first on this lease. You have to watch how they word themselves here or you will get the short end of the stick. You have to know that they are not your bosses but business partner, cause they will try to be your boss. You better know how to run a truck or they will from their office
