talked with systemtransport....they are backed up on training...might have something in the spring....I'm good with Decker for now, if I can average 2700 miles/week thats $999 before taxes. I will prob stay out 3-4 weeks at a time when possible. won't need the medical unless I can get a seperate plan for dental and vision. I met a few of their drivers while we were teaming for W/S. Seemed like they were happy.
How about Decker, any info...

Why would you want to make so much less when you have the option of making more..? I clear a grand at less than 2500 miles already, before our raise in January. There's more money to be made driving, but for new OTR driving, cretes among the best.TruckDuo Thanks this.

I checked out Crete, however, not hiring in my area. Moving is not an option. Also, I am more focused on the experience part for now. In 9 months to a year, I will reevaluate and start looking at getting on with one of the smaller companies in my area. thanks for the input.

Are you sure..? Boise isn't that far from Lincoln, is it?

about 12 or 13 hundred miles. I will have to investigate them further.

Decker has top of the line equipment; may as well be comfortable on the road since you'll spend the majority of your life in that truck until you go local.

The ones we saw while driving for W/S were really nice...Mostly Pete's, wonnder how their turning radius compares to the Volvo we had????
Chinatown Thanks this. -
The few I've driven, the Pete's weren't as good as Volvo concerning turning radius. Just take that into consideration when setting up. Some tight places I had more pullups in the Pete to get set up right for the unloading. This was pulling tankers & setting up in chemical plants. Maybe that's changed since then. Either way, the Pete's are nice trucks.
TruckDuo and negativecold13 Thank this. -
does anyone have current info on Decker Flatbed or their Reefer Division. I've never seen their flatbeds where I live in California, but usually always see their Reefer Units. Can you Haul both if you work for them? Do they give good miles? Is there a Pet Policy? I have heard mixed reviews. I currently get 1800-2300 miles a week at .37 cpm. I used to haul flatbed, now back hauling DryVan. Any information helps! Thanks!
Chinatown Thanks this.
