I have dealt with brokers who are ethical. I would not want to put all brokers into the same group. Regardless of the type of business in which you are engaged you will not like the way some conduct their affairs. Just move on or watch your back. I don't do business with people whom I consider unethical or don't think I can trust.LittleMissCabover and Chbroker Thank this. -
Wolf is wolf no matter if he wears a sheep skin, soon or later will show his sharp teeth

btw. Never had problems with CHRpowerhousescott Thanks this. -
What you described is not a broker being unethical, just bad luck and/or that particular agent being slow. TQL on the other hand...

Heres the deal,, this does happen our software only allows one person to be locked in a load at a time other people can look at it in a read only format and can sell it as well, when Pete logged in your offer it prob was for the right price an he asked for the other broker in his office to "pass him the load" so he could put your truck on it, that other broker could have sold it at the same time Pete did for less money so he put his driver on it and not you.. This sucks and I'm sorry it happened to you (happens about once a day unfortunately)

With good communication between the other agents in your office this should not be a recurring problem. And once a day is pretty ridiculous. You should know every person who has access to booking the loads you work on and maintain contant communication with them to ensure this kind of stuff never happens. In my office everyone who has the opportunity to cover one of my loads has to sit within a certain distance of my desk or ask me before booking a load, that way I can hear if you're on the phone talking about the same load Im working on to avoid promising it to multiple carriers. It still happens occasionally, but nowhere near on a daily basis - thats just bad communication.

can be called a lot of things, but the scenario you describe usually happens because load you were discussing was not "his" load, but belonged to another account manager, he puts your offer into the other acct manager and after the other account manager says its a go, then its yours
but if the account manager gets a call for that same load, he will give it to whoever called first
i dont find CHR unethical, not one bit

Constantly do loads with them, if you find a good agent who pays extremely high then make sure to keep them around
