One of the first things I learned when I got my first scooter at about 14. STAY AWAY FROM LIVESTOCK TRUCKS!

bullhaulerswife, chopper103in, albert l and 1 other person Thank this. -
Its when you come up behind a COW HAULER and there is a convertible right behind it with their windshield wipers going and the people in it are looking around with that WHY IS IT RAINING and not a CLOUD in the SKY look on their faces

Anything 1000 miles or less and you don't stop to rest them. You just run only time the truck stops is for fuel and to rest the cattle you redo your log as youre getting fuel. Anything over that you'll have to find rest pens or a barn to rest them. Remember leaving goodland ks one morning and kicking them off east of 150 miles northeast of Houston tx. At 4 am the next morning had 5 stops all day and one of them was 45 minutes to put clutch linkage back together. That was a run got to houston that morning about 6 laid down started a 545 mile deadhead to pick up another 900 mile run to wisner nebraska. Stopped 4 times on that trip yea those were some #### fun times I tell ya. Don't miss the dot Hassel though then again it's the same with this grain wagon I'm plulling for now

sorry , i got a kick out of that question...
well they used to stop at the bigger ts but the cows started complaining about the smell
cowboy_tech Thanks this. -
You shouldnt be stopping for long with a load of cattle or hogs in the first place. 2 hours at the max. There are sale barns across the country that you can stop at if you are driving far to exercise the cattle. That is why you wont see many stopped at truck stops unless we are unloaded.
