Depends on the company. Some tanker drivers work around the clock. Load at chemical plant 3 am one day, next day different time. Low pay scales, ton of haz mat paperwork. Plant operators make driver do all the work. Wearing all that PPE in hot weather. To each his own.
Lonesome, TruckDuo, Grouch and 1 other person Thank this. -
Unless of course they are pulling a food grade tank for one of the Florida bottom feeder tank companies..
All of which are well documented on this site..
-
I heard one of them food grade tankers loaded crude oil after a juice load just so they wouldn't drive back empty..
-
I heard it was IRT that did that, doesn't surprise me at all..
seems like it was mentioned in one of the many anti IRT threads on this site ?? -
Yea IRT ..they should of been fined double their assets so they would of shut down
.I dont like my OJ with traces of crude.. -
No need to keep it a secret. Use the board to tell everyone rather than privately through email.TruckrWnnaB Thanks this.

So what is the big secret
-
Maybe where you live. Not where I live (Florida). I know I can't wait to sign up for that big .38 cpm pulling a tanker for Indian River or Oakley, or Schneider, etc..., or even Florida Rock and Tank (They REALLY have a screw loose). Florida Rock and Tank is the biggest joke going. Sure morons, I'll get right on getting that Hazmat and twic card so I can knock out a whopping $800.00 gross a week. I don't think so chumps.
