    Next time you are at a truck stop ask any tanker driver about their job. You won't hear them crying and complaining.

    Depends on the company. Some tanker drivers work around the clock. Load at chemical plant 3 am one day, next day different time. Low pay scales, ton of haz mat paperwork. Plant operators make driver do all the work. Wearing all that PPE in hot weather. To each his own.

    Unless of course they are pulling a food grade tank for one of the Florida bottom feeder tank companies..

    I heard one of them food grade tankers loaded crude oil after a juice load just so they wouldn't drive back empty..

    I heard it was IRT that did that, doesn't surprise me at all..


    seems like it was mentioned in one of the many anti IRT threads on this site ??

    Yea IRT ..they should of been fined double their assets so they would of shut down
    .I dont like my OJ with traces of crude..

    i pulled milk tanker few years ago. i LOVED IT.. easy job. pick up a loaded trailer in sulphur springs tx, go to little rock, pull in the unloading bay, hand them my paperwork and hr later i was empty. head back to the yard. drove a piece of junk truck but an easy job. ALTHO didnt like it at first. def have to get used to it. when i pulled my first several loads i was like " oh hell no" ...lol but ya get used to it.

    Maybe where you live. Not where I live (Florida). I know I can't wait to sign up for that big .38 cpm pulling a tanker for Indian River or Oakley, or Schneider, etc..., or even Florida Rock and Tank (They REALLY have a screw loose). Florida Rock and Tank is the biggest joke going. Sure morons, I'll get right on getting that Hazmat and twic card so I can knock out a whopping $800.00 gross a week. I don't think so chumps.
