Included would be the $25.00 Raven Cares card.

Is their mileage pay based on practical truck miles or dirt road, weight restricted, No haz-mat route Household good miles?

sorry for the delay in replying. If I'm not mistaken the miles are household good miles.

An update: I am still with Raven Transport. I am still enjoying it here. Currently being loaded for load going home for the weekend.

I don't know if I am late or not but I know I said starting at the 1st of the year drivers would be making .44 cents starting with Raven. About a week ago they sent us a message saying that they are giving another pay increase in April. Entry will start off making .45 cents a mile. While those with up to 5 years will make .47-.50 cents per mile, including the Raven Cares card.

Also in April Raven will have 115 new 579 sleeper natural gas Peterbilts replacing the older Volvos.

Looks like these will be running some of Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, South and North Carolina. Basically southeastern states. Scored a account with P&G that will have the majority of these new trucks running for them.

    NewTrucker48 :
I'm thinking of coming to Raven Transport in the very near future. I'm out of North Carolina which is one of the hiring areas. I do have a couple or more questions for you if you can answer them for me.

    1. What are the Pros / Cons to Raven
    2. Does Raven do a cash advance every week like other Trucking Companies? If so how much?
    3. I heard of all the pay increases which is a good thing.
    4. What is your average mileage weekly? I know it can vary from week to week.
    5. How long do you stay out?
    6. I'm sure Raven has plenty of big Accounts to keep the freight coming.
    7. What is the Overall Attitude of everyone at Raven?
    8. What is the boundary mileage for a driver to take his truck home ?

Do you have 6 months experience? If you do you can go through the appentice program for a week with another driver at 39 cents for the next 6 months. When you make a year it'll be the .45 cents.

    1. Cons: For some people they do not like their first few checks being mailed to their homes. But if you're married or whatever it can be deposited into your bank account. After being issued truck you will have a "pass through" to pick up your things. My two checks were at home when I did my pass through. Also currently Raven is doing a 1000.00 sign on bonus. It doesn't last a long time so if you can you should probably sign up soon for it.

    2. Raven gives drivers 100.00 when starting out on comdata card for company expenses. You can take it out all at once or slowly. This is reimbursed from week to week. Other than this 100.00, you should not need a pay advance.

    3 The pay is great

    4 Mileage depends; 2400-3000

5 I come home every other week. Some stay out 3 weeks for 3 days. Others 4 weeks for 4 days. You can choose.

6 P&G, beer, Publix, Winn Dixie, etc

7 The majority of drivers are happy and once on they stay for years.

8 Raven is completely different, we have 200-300-400 mile deadhead sometimes. Our windows for loads are alot different than what you may have experienced. You won't have a problem getting home on your hometime. I've never even had to ask or remind my driver leader.

Do you guys run a lot of south Florida? And do you have drop yards or terminals throughout the south, or only Jacksonville? Love the Raven logo, btw.
