Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

It is against the law to pay drivers 1099
-
Ok, guess the entire frac industry is in the wrong.
-
I think you got it wrong. The entire frac industry is not paying on 1099. I make what you quoted above after taxes, hauling frac sand.falcon71 Thanks this.
-
I have the same deal you have rookietrucker
rookietrucker Thanks this. -
To rookie trucker, you're bringing home 2-3 thousand a week after taxes? Where can I sign up?

Love companies that pay 1099 and are only giving you 25% of the load they dont pay no benefits or ss tax.
-
And the the 25% is probably not off a 100% it is most likely from 80%
-
Paying someone under 1099 =lawsuit from the employee and the IRS. I couldn't imagine, what would happen if he/she had a employee get hurt, probably wouldn't have to worry about hiring anyone any more. Also you can't fire someone under 1099 its meant for contractors not employee's.
-
and do you think they are giving you the real rate ??
yeah right..
