That's not terrible... Were I you though I'd *nicely* confront my boss and make sure he knows your side of the story. Plain and simple you weren't at fault. There's other ways you can get pictures, but you're going to have to do the legwork yourself.
What I don't get is why your company doesn't allow dashcams. If nothing else, that releases them from liability for situations just like this. I would've captured the fact that the SUV came over onto you and wanted to trade some paint. GPS is one thing, but dashcams are another...
My 2 cents; get your experience if you need it and then find another company. Something's a little funky if they don't want dashcams.
Whatever you choose though, good luck!

Because there is a rule no video taping on federal property and the truck is considered federal property
-
I am good on experience, and I like my job a lot, just a lot of rules and any chance they get they like to give it to the drivers.
-
Considering how hard up companies are for good drivers you might still consider another company. I can understand that's the law, but I wouldn't like it if my company said no dashcams. That's me protecting my ### and livelyhood.

To be fair, the devil you know is better than the devil you don't. -
At my job accidents don't go on your record, but if you get too many accidents of course they can fire you.
-
I understand that. From your boss' perspective if you had made the turn in the proper lane you wouldn't have been in the situation. That's all I'm saying
-
Definitely fill out an accident report with full details within 24 hrs! No ticket, No witnesses, no pics, gonna be impossible for anyone to prove anything!
-
Ya possibly but then the swing of your back on the box, if someone is too close on the left lane turning as well can hit them too, and need to go in their lane a little to not jump the curb, which I don't like to do. I was thinking of taking both lanes, when turning there but not really legal I don't think.Mr.X Thanks this.

Yes on the ride back to my job with my boss in the car, I told him it was 100% not my fault as the other car drove into my lane, his response was there is no such thing as 100% not at fault, if you are at a red traffic light and get rear ended its still partly your fault.
-
Don't know that I agree with that logic entirely, I can see it but that's one heck of a stretch to say getting rear-ended at a light while you're sitting still is your fault.
There are some who say there is not such thing as a non-preventable accident; I don't disagree but my issue more often lies with those said to be at fault.
