Subpoena the camera footage. It may be worth the cost of a lawyer in the long run.

Ya, my union trying to fight it, its pretty weak imo sometimes.

Your boss sounds like someone who has a college degree and doesn't know the clutch from the brake. Bet that he drives an automatic transmission because he doesn't even know how to shift.Big Don Thanks this. -
Believe it or not he may be right. My ex was rear ended one time in NY completely stopped at a red light. She was still deemed 20% at fault in court due to the fact she had one of those air freshner's dangling from her rear view mirror "obstructing her view"

So I went for retraining today, I explained what happened and they asked me what could I have done differently, my reply was besides taking a different way I could have took both lanes to make the turn and go to the right lane, and I asked is that ok/legal, they said I could do that. Also when driving with a safety trainer, I came up to the same type of turn the accident happened shortly after taking, I asked the trainer want me in the outer or inner turning lane, he told me outer which is the same turn I made that day, so I don't know what I officially got in trouble for, unless they are saying I hit the other vehicle, paperwork when I got in trouble seize I violated safety rules and procedures but doesn't specify how, and the safety retraining said they don't know what I did wrong either.

You need to ask your boss that same question..
If he can't answer : you work for someone who runs a business, but can't drive worth a ####.
If he won't answer : you work for a moron.
If he gives you the same answer: you work for a moron.
If he gives you a different answer: you still work for a moron.
...huh. Interesting how that works... I would still ask your boss that same question.
At least you have the right attitude about it. "What could I have done better" is WAY better than, "What did I do wrong?"Mr Ed Thanks this. -
Your boss is a moron and not looking after the best interest of the drivers ,as a federal employee any accident is turned over to the federal lawyers to handle the case. You can have a camera in the truck and some agencies are putting them in themselves. The drivers are fighting the driver facing cams as an invasion of human rights. Go to your union and fight it. He probably got his job from knowing someone, not from experience. In the Government, you get promoted til you reach your level of incompetence.
Big Don Thanks this. -
Don't you union guys have reps? Get ahold of your union rep. Your boss is an idiot and won't do anything but hurt you further. Get a lawyer too. Best to fight it the whole way. Have your lawyer draft up a civil suit as well against whoever hit you. And don't sign anything admitting fault.
