Yep been there done that. Almost did it last night for this morning before I realized it and changed it. Deffinatly sucks though when it does happen.

 

I definitely understand the mindset: I'll just keep going; maybe nobody saw me.

My guess is it happened for the same mindset that makes people run from police after having been told to stop, not because of any of the specifics. Humans don't like being "caught" doing bad; we make up reasons and excuses. When we can't, we run.

 

Has anyone been to dominos in New Boston Mi I would like to know how they work and can you be early do they take long to unload

 

Understand I am not making excuses for this guy, there is no excuse for his actions, but part of this mindset is because of the world we live in now. Everything is disposable ....lighters, electronics...and people. It creates a level of fear in accepting responsibility. There is no need to go to the expense of proper training.....there is no need to build a better quality driver.... because if this one doesn't work out we will throw him away and just pull another one out of the box and try him/her. Maybe they are cut out for the job ....if not, oh well, we will get rid of them and go to the next one. No skin off our nose so long as we have insurance.
In my opinion there is no driver shortage, there is a deficit in proper training, schooling and standards. As wulfman said awhile back there is a shortage of good drivers. It is too easy for companies to just put someone else in their truck. We need to truly create a driver shortage by insisting on a standard of professionalism and a level of training and experience.

 

Trans Am will probably undergo a thorough DOT investigation cause I guarantee that the driver will be screaming that he was not trained properly. This will both good and bad for us. Bad meaning they always find a way to punish everyone for this drivers mistake and good cause it might force TA to expand its training program. We will know in the next year.
