I used to drive previous Argosy. Yep, the cab is suspended, but runs not smooth enought. Good on highway, but on bad Ukrainian roads shakes like columbia

really benefit of EU cabovers that cabs are four point suspended, so they run much smoother any us truck, but there are some verisons of Axor/Atego truck w/o front springs.

maybe you quit your plans, but in case if not,

found out there was 400hp version of om442A (xx35) with added intercooler ,

    so this is 34hp more

it is interesting that it fits under normal narrow cab, while original LA were only with großraum cab

so except more fuel i think everything else fits,16s160 should easy take extra 150-200nm ,

and NG17/2433, and latter SK xx27,xx31 ,xx33,xx34,xx38,xx44 with narrow cab had raised cab(there was some more distance i think about 4-5cm between fender and cab

but what remains mystery for me is why awd xx35 on both ng and sk had raised cab, some 8x8 had raised complete cab from frame, other models got this extra few cm betweeen cab and fender

    Just never had enough time.
The OM442 is still on the stand and the 2636 still parked.
Been busy building a stone crusher with a friend that has taken all extra time and money.
    I have however bought a 2644 (440hp) truck with an ADE 442 with turbo & inter-cooler.
ADE manufactured OM under licence and branded them ADE (Atlantis Diesel Engines).

well, if you dont plan to use it, you could sent me exhaust brake housing i need one on left side, this is worst part of those trucks, exhaust pipes are too exposed, when truck works on construction sites and especially heavy excavation when exhaust get hot, and after they wash it with cold water to clean mud.....

crap quality one is 400€, original , well i dont want even to try but i guess it is not below 1000€ , used ones are worst than mine,

also 2years ago , we were changing fuel lines that frequently cracks( change already 5-6of them since we have it) and left spanner somewhere around, it was summer very hot, load, city, hills, and fan sucked it and fired it in to radiator and it immediately lost water and raise temp.
everything seems to be fine after repair but it started to leak water on lid after some time,i though ok seals dont look good ,there is corrosion on metal as well, but recently found new one in basement put it , now it leak on few other places and no more on lid. pressure in water system is more familiar to Man, we usually solve this by drilling hole
this is quite strange, gaskets are Man disease

seems like it is time to open it , also it starts to use oil more than before , now in 20k of this construction-city work it need about 5L

so feel free to sent whole engine

why waste time on that, simply get gipo and try to copy it as much as possible. , but not complete to get in problems with law

i know you have told me for them.
    is it NG or SK?

I will look and see if they are there. We used to take them out and never replace them. There was an engineering wofks that used to make new ones here that they claimed were far superior but I cant seem to find their details.
That is the truth , we never seem to get more than 300 000km out of a MAN engine before a leak of some kind on the head.
Years ago I used trucks using way more oil than that for years. You would be surprised how long they can still last when using oil. If the reason is collapsed rings from overheating not so much. If it is just poor sealing between rings and sleeves there is a trick I have seen used. They take out the filter and while revving they feed by hand powder silica in to intake. Sounds like a crazy idea but I have heard it works.
I think the engine originally came from Ireland and was imported by a dealer , then reconditioned. The reason I say this is because I know the dealer imports from Ireland and this engine has EVB heads and we did not get those locally. It would be funny to send it back to Europe.
I have been trying to get in to something other than trucks. With out going in to politics I need something that can be taken to another country as things are not heading in a good direction here. The crusher we have built is new technology and has been granted patents. Will have to see if a truck driver can pull this off. It will surprise some people , even myself if we manage to make it big. I have put everything in to it and taking a huge chance and hoping for the best.
It is an SK 6x4 rigid with a Fassi 35t/m crane mounted at the rear.

those are worst thing about exhaust, when we ride on uneven terrain since truck have too rigid front suspension, it transfers too much bending on frame and those flex pipes are not flexible enough and always make some problem, thes should move them to middle of frame behind cab, also i dont understand why they used 2 silencers, obviously for longer life but it makes lubricating of driveshaft very difficult we convert it to single

That is the truth , we never seem to get more than 300 000km out of a MAN engine before a leak of some kind on the head.
i guess in your climate this could be much worst than here

i remember back in days when our roads were much worst than today. our trucks were hauling crushed stone agregates from quarry 10km east of Dubrovnik to Orebić on peninsula Pelješac on asphalt plant, this route include some of worst hills here and also it is hot, maybe there are worst parts in mountines norther but not that much hot.

were loading 40t net in morning , when it gets hot afternoon 35t to save tires , it is about 120km in one direction, scania could climb hills in 2nd gear and get down in 1st, after longest climbs had to stop for 20minutes to cool down engine naturally before going downhill, to prevent too quick cooling. there was friend of my father with MB2626, you can guess how "quick" he was. One driver from continental part of country that was not used on those hills , miss shift once in serpentine on 2538 and went backwards trailer get out of road. and even with this extra care our man 19362 blown seals
even today with much improved roads retarders and strong engine brakes nobody have balls to load more than 30t , last time i was there in end of begining of november 3years ago found fh440 in middle of hill , hot exhaust melt air line and front right wheel lock

Years ago I used trucks using way more oil than that for years. You would be surprised how long they can still last when using oil. If the reason is collapsed rings from overheating not so much. than this is engine from 1990 and latter

i wish you a good luck, i was thinking you are building something conventional , in this case it would be easiest to copy best (gipo) and offer it with local price

here MAN tgx , is best in sales, in last 25years MAN leads , only last year volvo was first

, although they are crap comparing to what they used to be ,our people are used on MAN so they still buy them

now in winter most of trucks parked roadside with raised cab are MAN, they are very sensitive on winter and bad fuel , we dont have winter diesel and many fuel stations add water to fuel, renault was even worse with winter but nobody buys it

it is interesting to see this combination behind it , how it is called? c train?

do anyone knows if those axles on dolly are selfsteerable , like they make in holland?
