With no check for 2 weeks does Schneider expect their $1125 weekly (like you mailing a check) .

Or when you come back are you -$2250?

Supposedly you have up to 6 days.. then they add 3 or 5% interest on top. Can't remember which number.
Everything is communication.. give them the money ahead of time, have an extra escort account etc.

I bought this up today.. to a Safety person and finance.
After having me sit through hours upon hours of safety videos and talking about distracted driving.. etc etc.

I say... well OKAY how come you spec a premium truck with extra Chrome and extra buttons in the bunk for power dock locks (really?) BUT don't opt for steering wheel controls for the Engine brake, cruise and radio???? I said every company I worked for with stripped down freightshakers had this.. and I prefer to keep my hands on the wheel driving.
I said it's a safety concern to go fiddling around on the dash every time to hit the engine brake for example.
So I got two answers from two different people....

One... "that's why you're supposed to learn your equipment before driving". I say yeah okay sure but still taking my hands off the wheel is a distraction still.
Second.. "these are expensive trucks and the options are carefully picked because it adds up". I say okay...... opting for power door lock buttons in the sleeper is not more important than steering wheel buttons which makes for a safer driving experience.

I'm kinda pissed about that and the silly answers I got didn't help.
I'd gladly trade chrome mud flat holders, power locks (even in the sleeper lol), 232834654 extra pointless gauges and etc for simply a couple steering wheel buttons for things I do need when I'm driving so I don't have to take my hands off the wheel.
That truck is loaded man.. there's even an "emergency handle" that busts out an opening in the sleeper so you can get out. There's a lot of cool things sure but something as simple as buttons on the steering wheel I want more than anything. Oh well.
Oh another funny thing.. they said "no driving with phone use AT ALL" but my truck was optioned with a sound system with build in bluetooth so you can talk and drive hands free and headset free through the truck all right there from the drivers seat lol.

Okay my rant is over lol.
I tell it like it is, nothing is perfect and I expect that. Overall all is good though still.

Man you're all set for discreetly letting those lot lizards into the truck. Just sit back there in your sleeper, no one can see you, wait for the knock, hit the power door lock button from the sleeper and get rockin'... hahahahaha

Look on the bright side, 2 more days in Green Bay, right? Bet you're ready to hit the road.

SFI expects the truck payment.... Everything else will roll over until I get back.... That's why I've set money a side at SFI to make the truck payments while I'm not working...I just tell my lease rep to pull the money out of my reserve money to make the truck payment.... Or you can just make the payment some other way, I think dfo has done that....

Yup every time I took a week+ off I would just email my rep and tell her to pull my payment straight out of my bank account. Just gave her the info and that was that, real easy.

mickimause and Cat sdp Thank this.
