Trans Am Still

No stones. She may have passed one before endoniscopy was done. She'll be given liquids today and solids tomorrow as tolerated. Depends on her digestion but for now no surgical issues anyway.

 

Am in a motel in Omaha. Won't be able to deduct it from taxes. Ot only that but, wasted a whole day here. I love my job !!!!

 

In a parking area on US 287 half hour south of Wichita Falls TX. The preplan fell through but I got the IBP Amarillo load anyway. The good news, its ready. The bad news is I have just 7 hours coming back after midnight. I'll take another 10 hour break now and then again once I pickup the load and start for Keasbey NJ for an 0500 delivery on Monday morning. Yeah I was at my second stop for 10 hours plus. After I emptied out, I parked on the street 2.5 hours to complete my 10 then sent my empty call. Weird day but its over. I could leave after midnight and head to Amarillo but what would be the point? Still couldn't leave with the load 18 hours later after midnight Wednesday. Wonder if they will let me do a driveby for Christmas. Have deadheaded home from farther than that. Deuces!

 

Winter weather headed back to Missouri this evening and through tomorrow morning. Already some sleet and ice in southwest MO. Check the map if you are traveling this way tonight.

At 520am My DM1 calls me and says I still need you to go get the Campbell Soup load in Paris TX. I say ok not a problem. She says the Amarillo load will still be waiting for you. OK. So went after it and have to deliver by 8am (it was originally scheduled for 5am but I told her no way I would make that with just 7 hrs left to hit my 70. Stopped here at the hitchin post on I 35 just south of the Oklahoma border with an hour 45 left on my 70. Couldn't risk another violation within a week of one another. So here I sit until 2am then run for the roses (I like that saying) to Plainview TX Walmart DC. Then I pick up an empty and drop it off at Thermo King in Amarilllo. Then bobtail for my Jersey load and burn for the east coast. Snow in Missouri, huh? Looks like I will run into that. Oh well. Deuces.

 

It is supposed to just be an overnight event here, George. Should start clearing off by tomorrow afternoon.

 

I'm sitting just on the Georgia side of the Florida/Georgia line. Still waiting for planning to set up a swap because there is no way I can make on time delivery. Not my fault, I was loaded overweight and spent most of today dealing with it in Auburndale. The three stops I had before that in Orlando and Davie were all very pleasant though, especially the Restaurant Depot in Davie. This load is bound for Denver but I never actually make it to King Soopers EVER because something goes wrong every single time and it gets swapped off. This load is no exception. Kinda bummed about it though because if I did final it, I would have been in a great position to get a load out of Greeley that would let me swing by the house for Christmas and still be eligible for holiday pay. I know if my DM could swing it for me, she would. She managed it last year.
