probably earlier. According to their webpage, they started using a CAT engine in 2006 and mine uses a Perkins. Truck is an '01 & the APU was already installed when the previous owner bought it from a fleet in 2007...

I have a Perkins also. I've had the following replaced. Generator head multiple times, radiator and alternator. Other then that it runs great.

I replaced the tiny overflow tank with a plastic gas tank from a lawnmower. I ran the exhaust back to the rear of the truck and put a car muffler on. I replaced the fuse box with a real one and real breakers on top of the unit. I also converted the 2 25 amp circuits to one 50 amp.

I also run a house AC on the back.

    Sorry about the hijack

Thanks, I'm usually rolling 58-62 mph. I'm usually forced down to 58 because of all the sketch bag slow pass cut off, governed steering wheel holding..... Breath in..... And out......

I'll run direct heavy or on hills. Last hole with cruise set light and smooth terrain.

I need to get my money's worth on that Scan Gauge. Haven't sent in the info, yet for additional gauges. Definitely on my list.

lol, whack-a-mole coolant system. For some reason, I was running around 200 degrees today. I was kicking on the engine fan override and wondering what it could be. Outside temp was. 30 degrees. Real wet snow and ice. Ran I-70 today, saw eleven wrecks I think. And only two semis tried to run me off the road. Made it safe to receiver. Still got the second leg back. Fingers crossed.

Icsheeple, when your engine was running warm , it could have been snow on the grill of your truck preventing airflow through your radiator.

Lol, yep. I have a screen protecting my grill and radiator. And it was completely caked with ice and snow. Cleaned out the screen and she ran cool all the way back.

Well last day of the dedicated run. Or so I thought.....? Spoke with the broker, and the run picks up again in January. If the rate doesn't suck, I'll stay on it. When I reran the numbers I'm getting $1.90 per mile to the truck after the LS cut of 35%. Need to get me a newish wagon for that 72%. I'm running auto parts and need 10 year or newer wagon.

I got a nice break coming up, and would like to get my taxes done ASAP. I have a meeting scheduled with my accountant, and will try to post some accumulative numbers of my overall per mile to the truck for this less than half year at LS. I don't care much for weekly or monthly totals, and haven't kept the best books to start. I just like to see where I came in for the year. Figure once I get my head around everything I'll start doing weekly totals and monthly p&l in the future. Kind of my New Years resolution to stay on my books. I'd like to put at least another full year in with LS, and see where I'm at end of year next year.

For some reason my payment to the IRS didn't go through on my 2290. I used a web service and had the money set to wire out of my checking. Something didn't go through correctly. So I'll be sending them a check soon with a penalty fee. Until this owner op journey, the only letter I've ever gotten from the IRS, was my big fat refund check. Oh they joys of running your own business.

Hope everyone has a great holiday.
