and i can tell you i expect that behavior from an arrogant 4wheeler. I sometimes wish i was a state trooper and witnessed that crap with my own eyes.
The video actually pissed me off, what if the driver did that to a 4wheeler? they wouldnt stand a chance

Waiting for thread by this driver "I got rear ended and company FIRED me!!! Should I pursue legal action?"
-

Sounds like he took off and returned to the scene when a witness flagged him down.
Quote from the CNN poster:
"...I slow down a little and then the driver jumps in front of me and slams on his breaks (I was doing about 58mph when I slammed into the back of the trailer and he keeps going until I guess he noticed that one of the cars behind me decided to chase him down. When the driver backed down the road to where I was..."Dna Mach Thanks this. -
On another note, this is exactly why I have multiple dashcams (1 company installed, one cheap 3-minute loop camera and an HD GoPro) in my truck. Most of the time we as CDL holders are considered Guilty until proven Innocent instead of the other way around. I have no intention of being blamed for someone else's mistakes or recklessness. God forbid some bs like this happens to me I'll have all the proof I need to put the blame where it needs to be.

That made me angry.Giggles the Original, Raiderfanatic, Mr Ed and 2 others Thank this.

We deal with enough crap on the road without other truckers trying to start stuff too. There is no excuse for road rage and absolutely less for that behavior in commercial vehicles.

Looks like tit for tat. I wonder how close that Pete was when the guy with the video cam went left?
Not making excuses for what the guy did, he has no business on the highways. Just wondering what we aren't seeing.double yellow Thanks this. -
So this guy is driving 60 +/- mph on a 75 mph highway. That truck that was "tail gating" was probably already in that left lane preparing to pass the truck crawling along in the right lane, closing the distance between them at 22 feet per second (the 15 mph difference between 60 and 75 mph). In other words, the slow truck moved over to the left lane when he had no business doing so, cutting off the faster truck in the left lane CAUSING the "tail gating" situation. The faster truck probably had to get on the brakes pretty hard to keep from buckling up his own hood, because this doofus with a camera decided to obstruct the passing lane. Does it justify returning the favor? No. 2 wrongs don't make a right. But, it I were the red truck driver's boss, he would be fired too for the unsafe lane change that instigated the whole situation. He SHOULD have reduced speed, allowed the faster traffic to clear, and only moved over when it was SAFE to do so.tinytim Thanks this.

Look in the left hand hood mirror on the truck doing the filming. The truck that did the brake check on him was nowhere in sight until the very end.
