Yeah, that was before US Customs busted those two terrorist's on there way down to the USA, one of them actually had the explosives with him! When we tightened our rules they tightened their rules.
Yes it says on the website that its up to the officer, but in reality if you have an FBI number, you are not going to Canada, and there is no immigration to go through, no nothing other than signing a document stating you got caught and are going back to the USA without going through the deportation BS. If you are civilized about it the whole thing takes 15-30 mins and your driving home!

You might make it through 2 dozen times without an issue at first. They don't always run a background check, its random.

I wanted to say thankyou for all your replies. Worse case scenario, if I get turned around at the border the company can always have another driver take the load across and send me back with whatever they have . Thanks, have a happy Christmass and New years!!!

dui's are NOT allowed. i'm surprised none of you had said anything. as that seems to be the most common state ment.

as for getting your records sealed. those can still be found. and probably even comes up as showing records sealed. expungement is what you really want. that gets deleted. not sealed.

don't know about the rest of you all. but if i want my past cleaned up. i prefer the deletion proccess by way of expungement. not the seal and lock process.

military bases can't find anything on me. and i had a dui and possesion of pot. i've also asked and they said canada only goes back 10 years.

I don't know what to tell you. We were there this year in August 2014, they pulled him inside his dui was twelve years old, not seal and let us enter the country. State to him ten plus years, your okay.

No matter how long ago the DUI is, it shows up in there db. They may not do a thing about it until you get the guy who does everything by the book and you won't be just turned back but held for a while.

I had this type of guy last year who had my truck checked because I had a cold and could not pronounce the name of the street - it was a French name. He had me there for 20 minutes and then released me.

Allowing entry to CANADA is usually a judgement call by the CANADIAN BORDER SERVICES officers some allow things that others do not allow

If the ask "were you ever arrested" they already think they know the answer and are already reading it on their screen.

    Answer truthfully.

I've had them question 'disorderly' about an indiscretion at 18 when the driver was pushing 50...nothing goes away.
