So you're saying you can't make your four deliveries, end up in Michigan on the 24th, and make it to your human pickup in Rockwell, also on the 24th?
C'mon, driver. Stop whining and get to it! 😆

Got to the 1st drop at 0600, and it is by appt. Have no appt. They are NOT going to turn me away but...... they will call when ready for me. Wonder how long I will be waiting. Thank god for paper logs and no time stamp yet.
HometimeQueen and dennisroc Thank this. -
I'll brag though, Currently looking at mid to high 70's with the lowest daytime temp of 67 through the week. And nighttime temps starting at high 60's with the lowest being 47 Thursday night.dennisroc and HometimeQueen Thank this.

Looks like I will get stuck at Thermoking in Tampa overnight. I'm out of Miami and desperately want a shower and food. Avett and I are both miserable.

That sucks, though at least the temps are nice for ya in Tampa, have to make a run up there to pick up parts near the KW dealer on MLK. Would be nice to meet one of ya for a change unfourtunatly don't think I will have the time and company would prob frown on the whole thing.gntorres61 Thanks this.

Just saw you heading west on MLK HB. Headed to the KW there? BTW nice wreath on the front of your truck.
HometimeQueen and .honeybadger. Thank this. -
I'm sitting here at the Tampa Bay Truck Wash to get a washout and might just end up stuck here for the night. It's cheaper than the TA I think. Downside is no shower for me.
-
I was supposed to get loaded an hour and a half ago in Palmetto but still need a washout. The temps here in Tampa are just as miserable as Miami with no circulating air unless I idle. I did force an idle override for a couple hours yesterday, but shut the truck off when a check engine light eventually came on.
gntorres61 Thanks this. -
Ah must be picking up a load of Tomato's then. At least your are not headed futher south, the traffic near University Pkwy is horrible. And if you are still headed to Palmetto there is the Pilot at the Ellenton exit and a walmart down the road that is starting to seem like a truck stop with as many trucks that I always see in there. If you have the power avaialble walmart may still have some small fans that run on 12VDC or 8 D size batteries I use for camping and during power outages that I end up having to turn off in the middle of the night just to warm back up in these temps, not very big and relativly quite way for air flow.
.honeybadger. Thanks this. -
I don't have any money to my name right now. I have a little fan but all it does is move the hot air around. Grabbing a shower at the TA and then might trek down to the rest area in Ruskin. No clue what I'm getting except it's a dry load. Dollar Tree.
