My best week solo 3,510 paid miles. So tired. Not to many hours to run today but tomorrow right back to the grind.

Hope you all had a great holiday.

Deliver tomorrow in Plainview, Tx. Then pick up in Amarillo to LA. In Wichita Falls for the night. The sun started coming out. Hopefully the sun will be out for the next few days, tired of clouds and rain.

HometimeQueen and crazy driver 72 Thank this.

Just checking in to say I'm still alive. First of all, I'm happy to say the weather reports of a good snow storm hitting the Chicago metro area were all a big lie. :) There wasn't a lick of snow to be seen. I dropped my load in Joliet and ended up grabbing a trailer with a significant air leak. I didn't feel like going to Logansport so I encouraged the shop to take as long as humanly possible fixing it. Success. Five hours later I told dispatch there was no point in going to Logansport to take a 10 and was just going to stay in Monee. I did that because as I was an hour out from Dollar Tree I found out my former coach was at the Petro for the day. So instead of spending Christmas alone, I got to spend it hanging out with her. We got dinner at the Iron Skillet and she surprised me by buying me a 12v cooler for Christmas! Now I don't have to choose between cold drinks and lunchmeat/butter/etc. Avett is happy too because until I go grocery shopping her gallon of water is in the cooler and she loves fresh cold water.

I picked up my load in Logansport and for the third time in two weeks I'm going to end up right back in Florida. And in a week and a half I'm almost guaranteed another Florida run because I have hometime scheduled for the 8th. I am thoroughly enjoying living in this fantasy world where winter doesn't truly exist and snow is just a myth!!!

I too am at the J in Ardmore OK. Dropped my load 16 hours early. Love it. Got a deadhead move to Olathe tomorrow. Wonder if they are gonna get rid of me? Actually hoping I can pickup my yearend permits but Lori probably won't be in. Rats! 2736 miles for the week. No miles Tuesday due to the cancelled load at Dole in the Port of Wilmington otherwise might have gotten 3000 again.
