Yes I headed home right after I started this thread this morning. Took me 4 hours to drive 120 miles to get home due to the tarffic backups. My load orders which are in writing states both loads deliver 12/24/14, first stop at 9am which went well and second stop 15 miles away on a first come first serve basis. They were closed. The product I am carrying is made to order and when I was getting loaded at the factory yesterday (12/23/14) I was personally there while the guy making the loads contacted this place to verify delivery before making their order. I think that their order placer is in a different location from the receiver. This is brokered by a very large firm that I do quite a lot of business with. I do not solely rely on them for income and can operate without ever using them again. However if I am late (which I have never been) they want to charge me a late fee, or at least it is in bold writing on all rate confirmations. This particular brokerage firm is mentioned on here in several post which are most bad. I do not want to burn no bridges but when I called the broker this morning and explained the situation he said he would call and find out what is going on and see if he can get someone to unload me and he would call me right back. I waited 1 hour then called him. He had already left for the day without bothering to call me back. He was going to leave me there as long as I would stay. This is why this is in the broker's section. He burned his bridge with me & I know his name & voice and believe me I will NEVER deal with this joker ever again. I bit my tongue real hard and politely told the other broker that answered for him I was going home and would call them back on Friday. He agreed. Now this is going to screw me up on my schedule of other loads since my trailer has their stuff in it. Yes I did think about dumping it out in the receivers lot.lol I like the $500 delivery charge plus I need to be paid for the 120 miles home & 120 miles back. Also for storing their cargo in my trailer and screwing up my schedule.

Back to my original topic "here I sit".lol Here I sit Mr. Broker with your stuff in my trailer due to miscommunication between you & the receiver. Also it wasn't very nice to leave me out there on Christmas Eve and not even bother to call me back before you taking off for Christmas. So now the ball is in my court. Here I sit, in my living room, all kicked back in my recliner, watching TV, playing on the internet, and when or if I receive a decent offer to re deliver I will at my convenience. :biggrin_25523:

Hopefully the product you have on board is something the consignee actually needs with some urgency and has enough value for them to be worried about getting it just a little.
