I've only been driving for 3 months. This is my first winter. Chains weren't covered or even mentioned in my training. I learned of the chain law in WY and bought a set of 2. Haven't had to use them yet. I do appreciate the drivers that offer advice to new drivers in the industry, unlike the ones that would rather talk them down. Actually, I SHOULD be driving a commercial vehicle and learning as I go, gaining the much needed experience. Thanks anyway.NavigatorWife and knuckledragger Thank this.

Two chains, as in one bag of chains? You bought them or did your company buy them? If you are a company driver the company should supply chains and for you free of charge.
Two chains isn't legal. Some states require chains for six tires plus two spare.conjuntoron and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
Yes I bought one bag set of two, from what the WY law required. I didn't even know about the law until I was in WY and saw the signs posted. You're right, in other states they do require more. And the company did reimburse me. I always make sure of that, and the chains are not cheap. Thanks for the info.NavigatorWife and knuckledragger Thank this.

A good cordless drill and a box of 1 1/2 drywall screws...... Do states require the inner tire to be chained or just the outside tire? Or both?
