Sorry to burst your bubble, but they're as prevalent in this industry as any other...You got your potheads, pill heads(think they're not doing drugs because it comes with a script) and alcoholics...Truckers represent society as all industries do and like all industries, potheads aren't our problem...Most of our serious accidents don't have an illegal substance attached to them...

 

Trucking is only for the Elite of Society.

Not just anyone can piss in bottles, run on dual logs, trash talk on the CB and leave a mess wherever they go.

There are harder drugs then weed but the point is its very illegal in this industry.All weed does is mellow you out but when driving a semi there's such a thing as being too relaxed.

 

Positive,the 2 urine tests is done at the company and the doctors office.

 

Sorry but your not bursting my bubble, I know their out here, hopefully all companies will start using hair and urine, I know this is just my opinion, but! if your a drug user! I hope and pray you get caught and loss your CDL 4 ever!, I have zero tolerance for drug users, and even less respect for them, And will contact a company in a heart beat if I find a driver using while in a CMV, and sleep with a smile on my face

 

Why hair? Hair isn't about safety- you and I both know that.. It's about busting people, plain and simple... It takes 7-10 days for the hair to grow past the scalp line..which means I could, theoretically, get stoned today, drive, get in an accident and pass a drug test..

I'm all for safety, but hair isn't about safety, it's about busting people.. I say that as a guy that's recently taken (and passed) a hair test.. Doesn't mean I agree with it.. lol

 

So pot is legal in OR, WA, CO & AK. Shouldn't you be able to drive intrastate in those states as long as you're not actually under the influence while you're driving?
