Good job, OP, and I hope you have continuing success. It's no wonder that so many new drivers wash outin their first year. They swallow the recruiting Kool-Ade and then don't understand why they don't have a sleeper stuffed with cash. From what I can tell from your post you've got realistic expectations and a plan for the future, and I wish you good luck.

Rocko's modern life!...I miss the 90s, referring to your avatar

Wow, 28 cpm is almost criminal. Even for a new driver. Do your research people.
Me too! Such a great decade. Who doesn't love Bay Watch, The X Files, or the music? Heck drivers made more than 28cpm then! -
I just picked that Avatar but coincidentally I am a child of the 90's and its my favorite decade as far as movies, music, television, etc. Although, hairstyles and clothes are starting to look more and more goofy as time goes by...like the 80's!!

Spot on, from a 15 year driver here, your story with USA sounds just like mine. Its a suck ### company, but you have to start somewhere. Now I have many years under my belt and a clean license and can drive anywhere and the pay is 70,80,85 cents per mile not .30. I usually make about 2k a week bringhome. But the trucking industry is a hard one to master. And it is super hard to find a good home company that you will stay with. I have probably worked for 15 different companies in my 15 years.
