Shift the right gear - device

Ha-ha-ha, I have upgraded to an electric truck, no transmission - only 16 batteries and el. motors. Goes 300 miles, before the diesel engine kicks in. Paid $40 000, but is well worthed.

As I slow down to make a 90 degree turn, I am imagining all the obstacles that the front corner of the truck would hit and what the trailer axles would run over while I watch that stupid thingy tell me what gear to be in. Heck, half the time I don't even know what gear I'm in anyway.

How 'bout this: Lug it down as you approach corner, double down, begin turn, down shift one more, straighten out and proceed as usual. All the while keeping your eyes on the road.
