How about going over it with your trainer for the first time ever on your first week just under 400lbs gross.. Easy peasy.., until he reached over and shut the jake off on me. I about flipped a lid.., and he calmly told me to "Keep it under control". So I followed his instructions by doing 5 below and 5 above controlled braking and made it safetly down. Once we reached the bottom he flipped it back on and said, "Nice job.., now you know what to do if it ever goes on out on you." I couldn't argue with that., but I then told him "Don't you EVER ******* touch the jake again when I am driving." We both saw eye to eye and laughed about it a day later but I will never forget the Pucker factor that evening.

Yep, Lead guy I ran with years ago did that to me on Donner Pass. Was made at first, but then realized he did it for a reason. Glad he did later on

    RIP fellow Swiftie.

My trainer told me I was not allowed to use the engine brake or cruise control for a certain time period(I forget how long-2 weeks?). No idea if it was really a Swift rule, but it was instructive.
