that entire video and ONLY ONE DRIVER drove slow enough to be able to stop in time

I hadn't heard of this until now, and It just makes me want to puke. I mean, it just goes on and on. What is it going to take to instruct people on the dangers of driving fast in the snow? It just shows how disconnected people are with their driving, truckers too. I've said it before and I'll say it again, years ago, I NEVER remember stuff like this happening. Just terrible.

Oh dear... I see a few SNI bulk trucks in that mix.
Prayers out for everyone...that's gotta be the worst one this year.
I have to say, that looks like fog and snow... Why wasn't anyone slowing down?! I don't get it... I even just now stepped back and re-examined how I drive...Dinomite Thanks this. -
I wonder how many in the pileup had their CB on.
MJ1657, runningman0661, hrdman2luv and 2 others Thank this. -

That's not gonna be the worst one for this year i bet nd it could have been worst if fedex nd ups were involved. i wouldn't be surprise to hear the next pile up because the worst one for the year usually happen in the state of indiana

I hear ya', aduie, coming around the corner over there is always unpredictable in winter. I did a lot of running down there years ago. And you would think someone that runs that stretch regularly would know that. It has to be the combination of the cushy trucks now, and drivers on their electronic gizmos, and the pressure of "where are you now ?", that contributes to this. 4 wheelers are and always have been just plum stupid. No excuse for a trucker, though.tinytim and fuzzeymateo Thank this.

I can understand the 4 wheelers piling up. But the ##### truckers need to have their CB's on instead of their XM's and cell phones. How many of them could've heard about the wreck long before they crashed into the back of one another if they'd just had their CB's on. Which would've slowed all the traffic down behind them and prevented a lot of wrecks...The Admiral, BROKENSPROKET, Mudguppy and 6 others Thank this.

Drivers need to slow down in all driving conditions and increase their following distance, quit tailgating each other like elephants at a circus parade. If drivers looked farther down the road when they drive instead of looking right in front of them they would've seen what was ahead of them. The problem with the world today is everyone has the "Me First" and "I'm in a Hurry" attitude.
