In school they taught us to double clutch. I'm noticing my trainer floats through the gears and gets up to speed faster. Should I stick with double clutching or should I learn how to float?

i think pretty much anyone who has been doing it for a while floats the gears. personally i like my left knee too much to double clutch all the time

Floating can be tricky. Keep double clutching until you finish Training and get your 'own' assigned truck.

Once you learn how to float! You'll never double clutch again, JMO? Floating is much easier
-
Once you learn how to float the gears you will never go back. I traded my last truck in with 1.3 million miles and never had to change the clutch. Its easy on the clutch, transmission, driveline.

Funny, I have never double clutched from day one. Not even for the driving test. Learned to float and that was all I needed.

A clutch is..... Haha I float gears it's easier and it does help but I've got into a habit of when I'm stoping I forget to push in the clutch but I'm getting out of that but it takes time to learn

Double Clutch is that 2 pedals on the left side....just like if the fuel gauge reads half way is it half empty or half full...lol

No,no, RW! On a double clutch, halfway down is one clutch, and all the way to floor is a double clutch! I mean, there is two clutch disks in there, right?
Red Hot Mess and TheRoadWarrior Thank this.
