Wish that I had mad a copy or copied the link that showed the Number of Accidents/Incidents vs. Yrs Driving..

Starts out really high the 1st yr (as youd expect), then bottoms out at about 5-10 yrs experience, and then a slow rise back up with the more experienced drivers.

All I can figure is maybe a combo of health problems and from what i have seen OTR, many experienced drivers develop bad habits---like fooling with things in the middle of traffic!!:biggrin_2551:

I think driving a Big truck all those years and miles is kinda like gambling. The more and longer one drives, the odds stack up against a driver.

The ONLY crash I was EVER involved in is when a kid, in a hurry, ran a red light BIG time, and T-boned me in the intersection before I shifted into third gear --- and I started out in second gear.

SOME wrecks aren't the fault of the Big truck truck driver, and, in my case, it didn't hurt that several witnesses came forward in my behalf --- and one of them carried a badge.

Over a million miles and not one preventable or traffic citation in a Big truck OR my personal vehicles.

I was told to expect a crash causing damage within the first six months --- and I was determined that WASN'T gonna happen to me. So, every six months I just re-set my clock back to the beginning. :biggrin_25523:
    HeY --- worked for me. :yes2557: :biggrin_25525:

After shock, My post was humor.Nothing more. You want to put drivers in a catergory. You can't, new ones as well as old ones are due the same respect. Some learn this business fast, others not.A guy or a gal with a small amount experience might be a better driver than me,even after 27 years.I don't put drivers in any catergory. Trucking is a good job,but when you start listing drivers on scale of 1 to10,your no better than bad management.Any questions?I am free to answer.

My posts contain humor also -- along with something more.
    Yes I can -- and I did.
Not in my never so humble opinion.
I've included the previous posts that are relative to your comments above. Read them in order and tell me if we're not sayin' the same thing.
    Well, I do.
    To each their own.
So, to your way of thinking, a newBee with 6 months experience is equal to your 27 years?
Sorry, But I ain't buyin' that.
I guess I know where I stand with you.
BTW, my list only went to 7.
    How's that for "bad management"?
I suppose good management would be the companies who hire 6 months experience over your 27 years?
    Nope!
    Not from you.
You've pretty much put me in my place and placed yourself higher on the totem pole.
    You already have.
Let's just agree to disagree -- even where we obviously agree, but you don't seem to realize that.

    10-4?
