The lesson that needs to be learned here is not just speed, but following to close. It boggles my mind how many so called professional drivers tailgate.

Hi TT, oh, I know. Just the other day, I was going somewhere with my daughter, she has a small car, and this trucker was right on her tail. She knows I was a truck driver, and said, "Dad, why is this guy tailgating"? (she was going almost 65) I turned around, and this guy was on his phone, and I told her, "Well, it's 1 in the afternoon, some slippery roads, he probably has 6 more deliveries to make, probably arguing with the wife, because he 's not going to make it home for the dinner date, and the company is hounding him, where are you now"?

Love the ones when you tell them on the CB about bad weather / traffic slowdowns ahead that you just came out of and the reply is DRIVER YOU DRIVE YOUR TRUCK AND I WILL DRIVE MINE .

He probably hasn't been paid in weeks,so not an issue with him..Seriously,though that vid was kinda hard
to watch.Felt really bad for all those drivers that had split second decisions to make,or die trying.R.I.P. driver that didn't make it.

Theres another video that showed that cab that came off. There was a guy in the seat not moving.. As long as the guy in the Pete wore a seatbelt..

It sounds crazy, but, if he's already ahead of you, try turning off your headlights when that happens (leave markers on). Of course, you should be slowing as well to help facilitate the pass and give the idiot distance, but you might be surprised how well you can see when you're not looking at headlight glare from blowing snow.
