The signs are on 20, 75, 85 as I previously stated but I was on 285 and ON 285 there are no signs to warn you not to go inside the Perimeter

WE nor I am the one's that messed up. If you are stressing out, it ain't my problem, you wanted to know a few things and I told you, and so did a few others. When you learn to respect the speed limits and other signs for truckers then you'll have an easier time driving. Now, I never told you to just pay the tickets either, but getting a lawyer will cost you money to even try to plea it down to a lesser charge(s). You now have 2 speeding tickets that you have told us, what else can we say? Those 2 speeding tickets alone will hurt you, especially now since you probably hadn't done anything to plea down the first one you got?

    Good luck.

first off you had to get on 285 from some direction and should have seen the signs then the pilots on the east and west side of Atlanta have no direct access to I-75 you either come around 285 til u get to I-75 or you access off interstate 20. if you had a specific place that you had to access for service work or repair and would have provided that you should have been ok, but if it was to eat or visit someone that's not allowable.

and frustration isn't really a valid reason for not being current on log book. that's just careless.

and by the way there are signs on the truck restrictions.

fact is you didn't hit I-75 from either of those pilots , whether going north or south on 75 to a terminal , if you hit 75 any other way than traveling around 285 to i75 you went out of your way for some reason. now what was your real reason for going inside the perimeter? you stated you went to a non dispatched stop, exactly why???

On your profile it says you are from: Jax and the A....I will assume that to mean Atlanta? If you have a BOL showing a stop inside 285 or ITP as everyone in Atlanta calls it then you can get out of the ticket. Either an attorney or you can go to court if you are that convinced you are in the right on this one. The ticket I believe comes out to $396.50 and showing up in court has at least been reduced in some cases I have seen.

Back to the being from Atlanta part if I am correct on that? When headed into Atlanta and the other 40 trucks in front of you all are merging over to get on 285 should at least tell you something and if your from here you should have seen it a time or two. The only two truck stops in the metro area are both off 285, one is about as big as my driveway, the other is just flat out terrible but big, and close to many receivers and terminals. Now to jump back, were you going to visit someone in Atlanta?

As far as affecting future employment, it isn't the Inside Atlanta ticket that will hold you up, the speeding tickets, may be an issue though. Just present yourself well in person and hope for the best. Good luck to you!

Hey Marlin, thanks a lot. I've lived in the A but I'm not from the A and that was my first time driving a rig in Atlanta. I had spent the night @ the Pilot on 285 Bouldercrest so getting on 75 or 85, there are no restriction signs there. What I was unsure of if I could say I was visiting someone inside. I was thinking he was asking for a dispatched address

Oh my bad, I thought you were being sarcastic with my response, which I was only trying to be of some help. I was not trying in any way to belittle or berate you. I wish you well, I had from the beginning.
