Couldn't agree with you more and the health insurance is the EXACT reason why im going to go with BGE. I also wasn't looking forward to the prostar automatics that SEC are switching to either.

That's what Im beginning to realize. I honestly NEVER heard of an "employee owned" company until I first heard of BGE from Tow614. From what I've managed to find on the internet and read, its really a no-brainer....thanks for chiming in. Be safe out there

First of all, Congratulations on your marriage! I've recently gotten married myself on Nov.8th of 2014...my wife has one in the oven and just found out yesterday that she is 8 weeks in already. Im really excited about the news of her being pregnant (will be my 1st and hope its a girl) and Im really excited about joining the BGE family. (Now that we've gotten that out the way) I've been following the thread that you, Tow and Tenn have been chiming in on and I have tbo when I say everything you guys said about the company sold me completely!

Now I just cross my fingers in getting into a Volvo ( I have long legs, Im 6'4) and I know the KW's can be kinda tight on the legs (well, I don't know about the 660's & 680's)...as they say, beggers cant be choosers..Look forward to running into you guys out there and remember to be safe!

Oh, by the way...they call me "country4life" on the handles aka Jeff

    Good morning Challenger,
Thank you on the Congrats and I think Im DEFINITELY going to have to find out the sex of the baby BEFORE she goes into labor because its killing me just to have to wait another 2 months before I can find out the sex! This will be
my 1st so Im VERY excited. Also, If you have been following this thread then Id like to tell you and anyone else who is reading this that I have my bus information (it was emailed to me by Laura from HR) and I should be in Mondays class
at 7:30am for orientation with BGE. Looking forward to seeing you guys out there and once I have a tractor assigned, I will post my truck number here....thanks again Challenger and be safe out there!

    Good morning everyone,

It is now 5:30a.m. (central time) here in murfreesboro, TN. Im getting ready to shower here at the hotel and head down to the lobby to catch my 6:30 a.m. cab that's picking me up from the hotel lobby.
Orientation is a full day today and a half day tomorrow so I'm just ready to pretty much get it over with to get the wheels turning. I'm assuming the half day tomorrow might include some time for me to get settled into the truck but only you current BGE drivers know the answer to that.

I really wanted to say thank you to all of you BGE drivers for all of your help and knowledge on everything. I feel like I have gained a network of friends on here (that I've never met). You guys and/or gals have been MORE than helpful and I really can't say enough about you all. I've told the recruiter (casey) and H.R. (Laura) about ALL of you because you ALL should be recognized! Look forward to seeing all of you one day out there and like I said before, I will post my trk# here once assigned one....be safe out there and God bless,

Country4life aka Jeff. p.s. I will update tonight about my 1st day of orientation for all of the newbies.

Just keep posting, driver. Now that you're "on the inside," many of us will be interested to see how it goes. There can be differences, as you know...!

After you finish orientation tomorrow, they will assign you a truck and your DM will ask you if you want to roll out immediately or if you need the rest of the day to get set up. The choice will be yours as to when you get your first load.

the wife and I left the house this morning and we're getting unloaded in Jasper TN right now. From here, we go to Shelbyville to pick one up headed to Lakewood NJ.
