Good afternoon everyone
My husband has just started talking to Eagle Logistics and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with them?
I'd love to hear what you all think. I did a search but there wasn't very much info about them.
thanks for any input!

Which Eagle Logistics? There are a few of them out there so maybe add a location of the company and that should help with responses!! Tell him good luck and hopefully others will chime in when they can.

I think you may be talking about eagle the same eagle that is related to celadon? For a 2015 680 it takes 7 years to pay off, and there is a 40k balloon on the trailer you have to lease. I'd say the one good thing they have going for them is you can work with any broker you'd like. 75% on time and 65% if your late. Dry Van, and reefer. Not a terrible deal, better than most... But none the less it is still a lease purchase through a company. And 7 years is a long time to pay a truck off and STILL have a balloon at the end.

Hey T, you call them or something??? And 7 yrs???? WOW!!!! Wonder what that's gonna cost when you're done???!!!!
-
I got a good friend that went over last week and told me about it all, he's leasing a 2015 680 all his payments for the truck are 600.00 then 240.00 for the trailer I believe? He likes it so far, I guess they are putting together a load board. If I was interested in leasing I'd check it out...but nope! I'm doing pretty good staying company saving for my own truck.. Those lease terms are so long to be tied to 1 company.

So $840 a week BEFORE fuel, tolls, wear et al??? WOW!!! And for seven yrs???? Holy batcr*p batman!!!????!!!! That's somewhere around $205,000 by the time you're done, and then I presume a balloon payment or buyout??? Seems a little pricey for me.... Hope he does good there!!!! I guess if the rate is above $2.50 mile and you can get good miles then maybe but that's an awful big if for me.... especially since they just set the deal up with eagle and all.... Keep us posted how he's doing if you would T!!!
My deal fell through for my comeback, working on back up plan, and have another should this fall through, heck maybe I'll give Eagle a call..... LOL!!!T_TRUCKER⢠Thanks this. -
Did they have any gently used trucks available or do they pretty much force you to take a new truck? What did you end up getting for a 7 year lease? Do you have access to a load board or you are dispatched by a driver manager? Is the 75% of the load a true 75% meaning do they show or tell you what the load REALLY pays before they take their cut? How much are your trailer payments? And your other weekly deductions not including fuel? If you choose to run reefer are you reimbursed for the reefer fuel? Is the freight high dollar freight or is it whatever they can get freight? How long was orientation and what was the accommodations like? Did the orientation run smooth or was it mass confusion? Do they treat you likes glorified company driver or a business owner? If you or anyone could answer these questions it would be great and would help out with a decision.
thanksLee Caldwell and jlind Thank this. -
Any new updates on trucks and stuff yet??? I had hoped someone would have something to say about the set up there by now!!!
T, nothing from your friend yet???? Seems like they came from no where but I guess with Celadon's backing they wouldn't be considered just another start-up......Hopefully something soon????

its a few post on their Facebook page with some info that drivers have put on there.jlind Thanks this.

Here's the deal with Eagle. New truck and trailer $100-1100/week for everything except fuel and driver. At 2500mi about .40/mi. Forget about owning or paying off just drive the heck out of it and give it back. Sounds like most are making 1200-1500 gross before taxes
