New to Prime INC - What to expect (Springfield edition)

How long is tnt orientation? What all does it consists of pre-trip test,road test,etc? What is pay for tnt training?

Start at the beginning of this thread, and read it, ignoring everything that is obviously geared towards a student driver on a CDL permit. Pittston will be similar to the syllabus at Springfield. Three days for the preliminaries, you'll get your trainer on Thursday or Friday, and be on the road over the weekend. That's if a trainer is available.

Your room and board is covered by Prime until you're on the truck and available for dispatch. Once the wheels are turning, you start earning... first paycheck is at the end of the next pay cycle.

Well it depends on how many people each recruiter have in the.program.

 

So I just talked to Dustin Hensley (Prime Recruiter) after submitting an online App 2 days ago. He stated it would be a day or two before they processed my app and verified everything - within an hour he called me back and said my app has been approved and I am good to go. Is this normal ?

Also - I am a West Virginia Resident without a CDL, do I need to obtain a WV permit before I leave and go to the Prime School in MO ?

 

Did they give you an orientation date yet?

I was approved and cleared by the security dept. within 2-3 business days (not counting the weekend and Christmas breaks), but then again... I submitted my application the Tuesday before Christmas... by the following Tuesday, I was approved... then New Years Break ... then got a class date...

Also... from what I gather... you can get your permit and physical in your home state, but you'll have to do it again in MO anyway at orientation, so use the time to study.

 

He asked when I wanted to leave and said he would setup a bus ticket for a Saturday once I call back when I am ready.

I am back at Prime and waiting for a trainer. They say third times a charm. Lol
patience is a virtue. My medical card is signed yay...finally after 60 added days of waiting.

A third time for what? Why did you have to wait for med card signature? Why did you have to wait 60 added days? Are you now startin TnT?
