Hi all. It is my first post so please take it easy on me.

    Here is the story.

Back in May, 2010, shortly after I got my DOT# and MC#, I booked and delivered a load from John Aurelio with First American Cargo Inc (FAC), who screwed a lot of carriers by not paying them. He went out of business not too long after. Of course I did not get paid. So a collection service firm contacted me and I handed it over along with 2 other loads from a different broker. The collection agent contacted the shipper to collect the money since First American Cargo (FAC) did not pay me and it went out of business. It turns out that FAC got the load from Landstar and doubled brokered to me. The collection agent gave me less than 2 thousand out of $7700 (3 loads total).

After that, I got blacklisted by Landstar and could no longer get loads from them. I contacted Landstar customer service. I was told that it was because I harassed Landstar's customer and violated the carrier agreement I signed with Landstar. It was a business decision that Landstar will no longer (permanently) do business with me.

I just don't understand. I was the carrier who actually picked up, delivered the load and got screwed over. Why at the end I am the one who gets punished? It is almost years since it happened, and I still have the original signed contract with FAC as well as the original signed bill of lading to prove that I am the delivered carrier.

Thank you for reading my story. Can someone point me to the right direction to fix this so I can again haul loads for Landstar?

Sounds to me like they just gave you permission to "harass" their customers ... If they do not want to broker the load to you, fine, go out there and get it for yourself ... Maybe run that across their desk ...

Landstar are to blame for double brokering the load.

All you did was try to collect for a load you delivered. Anyone would have tried to collect.

What did Landstar want you to do? Let it ride?

If your story is correct you did nothing wrong.

Landstar should not double broker loads. When they do double broker loads they should expect problems like this.

Landstar should not have banned you. I have no idea how to fix this. You are going to have to find a way to talk to someone in power at Landstar.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

If they will no longer do business with you then there is nothing to stop you from soliciting their customer. Since you didn't get the account directly from Landstar I doubt there is anything that they could do to enforce the back solicitation clause. If you want to salvage the relationship with Landstar you may want to go speak with someone in carrier services to see if you can find a way to work things out with them. I would do that first before you start soliciting the customer. Landstar may or may not have known that the load was double brokered before hearing from your collection agent.

I realize they have a lot of freight, but do you really want to do business with someone that doesn't give a rats ### if you get paid or not.

I looked up the company. It's owned by a guy named YERANDIK GHARIBI. He's the only person in the U.S. named that so Google comes up with some interesting stuff. His arrest record and other stuff.

Bamboo, Jacksonville told me "If Landstar loses money on a load that you pulled you will be put on the not approved list". You did nothing wrong. They are too big for their britches. They think they're a big ##### on Turd Island but really they're nothing but diarrhea on a paper plate.

Screw them. Screw them every chance you get.

I was in Denver a few months ago. Made a deal with Landstar to take a load. Got the rate confirmation, signed and sent back. Went to bed and the next morning there was a new rate conformation for the same load $100 less. I got this through email. No explanation or anything. I booked another load pretty quick, loaded and left. 11:30am came around and Landstar is asking where am I and why I didn't show up at 11 and the customer was pizzed. I said you took $100 off the load. You can't do that. I already signed the rate agreement. She said the customer did that. I hung up on her.

I called the customer and told him I was the truck that didn't show up and why. He said they did nothing of the sort lowering the price and that Landstar was out. I got online and this agent had a webpage and showed all the people that worked there. I called and asked for the owner. Told him what went on. He got the lady agent on the phone also. She said the customer lowered the price. I told both of them I just got off the phone with the customer and didn't do that. She went ballistic and I hung up. I wasn't blacklisted.

Awesome story. Love it. LOVE IT. Only Jacksonville can black list and the POS agent obviously didn't care to take it that far.

Thank you all you guys for the support. When I get back home next week, I will try to contact Landstar's customer service department and hopefully they will have the patient to listen to my story and sort this out.

To me, it is more of a misunderstanding. When I contacted them in 2010, I didn't get a chance to tell them my side's story. If they listen to my story, let me show them the evidence, and they still decide that it was my fault, then I have nothing to say.

I will keep you guys posted.
