Will an owner operator hire a driver with 3 tickets? I had a soft offer but his insurance wouldn't accept me. If the answer is no, is there a way to get one removed? It's been over a year since last infraction.
Can you get hired with 3 tickets

Depends what the tickets are for! But if not to bad of tickets, their are companies that will hire you. Keep putting in app's, don't give up. Good luck to you!

3 tickets means you don't really care about traffic laws nd regulations just what the insurance will think about you.

Since its been a yr then no there is no way to remove it.You signed the ticket when officer issued it you should have fought it back then.Although I doubt you would have gotten it reduced.

It depends brother. Some smaller companies are more lenient. For example, I live in California, and there are a lot of small trucking companies here with like 5-10 trucks, and they're always hiring for truckers with bad resume. I would suggest you search truck companies near you with 5-10 trucks and start calling them. Good-luck,Don't give up. Don't let anyone dismay you. I seen people get hired with worst record than 3 tickets.

If you have a CDL, someone will hire you, it's just a matter of talking to the right person. That said, keep your nose clean and stop getting tickets...it makes your options a whole lot nicer

It's not up to the trucking company. It's up to the insurance company. The only companies that can hire you without approval are ones that are self insured like the mega carriers.
crzyjarmans, SHO-TYME, dannythetrucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
Ok, the tickets in question were both received the same day. One was a cell phone ticket, the other shows as non pointable offense, but was failure to switch lanes for stationary vehicle (no I did not hit it.) third ticket is two years old for speed. You are correct that I should have fought it, but I moved from Indiana to South Carolina in that time frame and was out of state for hearing. I know it's a case of insurance, I'm also asking owners because I'm pondering over buying a few, would suck to not get insured. Thanks all
So it's more of a case that owner operator's can't operate their own gear if they have more than two I suppose -
Ugh that's not good

that cell phone ticket might kill you.
companies don't want to pay a $10,000 fine and fire you if you get caught again.double yellow Thanks this.
