There's only about 3 or 4 seals that the driver deals with. The loaders who crawl around with fall protection harnesses cut the old off and put new ones on. Sometimes they only change the 3 or 4 you broke when you unloaded. I haul flour to places like Sara Lee, Hostess, Mrs Baird's, etc. They haul sugar, flour, calcium, and all kinds of food grade in them though. My company only hauls flour though. The oilfield companies even haul sand in them. Concrete plants haul powder cement called portland too Jabber.

Some washes last 14 days. It depends on the flour mill. They each have their own policy.

...really? we're going to have this debate again?

Trucking companies are no different from any other industry or company. they are more worried about making money, they will skirt the law if they have to do make money, everything they do is 100% legal

The people up to have alot of people to answer to, more people than we can even imagine. the CEO's get so much money per year, plus they get raises every year and they also get a cut of the profits. The people under them also get pay raises every year and also get a piece of the profit. That leaves the people who actually do the work to work the hardest and make the least amount of money. This also exists outside of trucking this exists in every professional business.

Before you say "they have enough money" ask yourself this: what would you say if somebody who doesn't know a thing about your life says "you are going to have to take a pay cut because you make too much money" what will you do? if you complain then YOU are a hypocrite.

of course it looks like the company doesn't make any sense but that's because we're on bottom. if we were on top it would make complete sense.

Yeah, Jabber is a lifer. Just think, in twenty years or so Jabber will probably be the senior driver for IR. You know, the one the rookies look to for advice, the one who sets the best example for the others to follow, the one who is always sensible and the one that all the new hires model themselves after...

Jeeeeez, I think I just scared myself a little.
